It really wouldn’t be a proper travel day for me unless SOMETHING went wrong. Lost baggage, additional screening (yeah, that’s happened on multiple occasions – this short girl must look dangerous), and delayed flights.
Ohhhh the delayed flights.
The worst was probably my trip to NJ a couple years back where I was delayed 3 times, but rightfully so considering the 3+ feet of snow on the ground. Regardless, delays plague my vacations like no other, and this morning was no exception.
So yeah, that 8:10 connecting flight in Dallas that I was supposed to catch? Obviously not happening.
American rebooked me on a later connecting flight, putting me in Boston two hours later than planned. Not a huge deal, but it causes me to miss the Greatist presentation with Derek Flanzraich. Bummer.
Since I obviously made it to Austin Bergstrom wayyy too early, I’m now camped out at my gate with a cup of coffee and my laptop.
